Scope of Work

This Method Statement and Risk Assessment covers the safe execution of all activities related to the installation, modification, and testing of fire sprinkler systems within a construction or existing building environment. This includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Site Preparation: Receiving, storing, and moving materials, setting up work areas, and establishing exclusion zones.
  2. Access Equipment: Safe erection, inspection, and use of various access equipment such as ladders, step-ladders, podium steps, mobile scaffold towers (PASMA), and Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs - IPAF). All work at height will be planned, supervised, and carried out in accordance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005.
  3. Pipework Installation: Measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, assembling, and fixing steel or copper pipework and fittings, including supports and hangers, at various heights.
  4. Hot Works (Brazing/Welding): Performing brazing or welding operations for joining pipework, where specified, ensuring compliance with fire safety procedures and COSHH 2002 for fume control.
  5. Valve and Component Installation: Fitting control valves, flow switches, pressure gauges, and other system components, including any associated low-voltage electrical wiring for monitoring and control.
  6. Sprinkler Head Installation: Fitt
